Mt. Pisgah Preschool is a faith-based educational program of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church that offers a Christian atmosphere for nurturing growth and development of children.

The preschool's objective is to help each child take the natural step from home to elementary school. Class time includes a planned balance of guided play activities, creative art work, music and language experiences, group times, and outdoor play.

Our preschool is one which incorporates into its everyday curriculum the goodness of God and all He creates through active learning experiences. Our program does not teach doctrine or denominational beliefs. It teaches the love of God.

Our goal is to help preschoolers to become enthusiastic learners. Teachers provide an environment where children can be active and creative in their explorations. We encourage children to become more independent, self-confident, and progress at their own pace. Our program focuses on spiritual, social, emotional, and cognitive growth and development.

A $100 non-refundable registration fee is required to guarantee placement.

A one time activity fee is due with your 1st month's tuition.  The activity fee for 2 1/2 and 3 year olds is $60.  The activity fee for Pre-Kindergarten classes is $65. This activity fee is used for enrichment programs such as puppeteers, storytellers, holiday activities, and the Pre-K End of Year Program.

Our Preschool "Lunch Bunch" Program meets from 12:30-3:30 pm, Monday-Thursday. The “pre-registered” cost per day is just $16.00, and the “drop-in” rate (on a space available basis) is $20.00. In order to participate in “Lunch Bunch”, children must be registered in either a 3 year-old or a pre-kindergarten program at Mt Pisgah Preschool. In addition, your child must be completely potty trained. Please note: designated staff members are certified to offer administration of “epi-pen” injections, but their availability cannot be guaranteed during our extended day program. Our extended day Lunch Bunch program is offered from 12:30-3:30 pm, Monday-Thursday. Extracurricular programs in sports and art are also available.

Our school year begins the week after Labor Day and ends the week before Memorial Day. We follow the Chesterfield County Public School calendar for holidays and closings.

Teachers are selected on the basis of their experience and educational background as well as their personality, love for children, and thorough knowledge of the developmental needs of young children.

Teachers are dedicated to providing a happy, secure school environment where teachers work with children to provide an enriching school experience. 

All preschool staff are certified in First Aid and CPR.
