I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of our entire preschool staff to welcome all our new and returning families to Mt. Pisgah Preschool! We are truly blessed to share this year in the life of your child---to borrow a phrase from the illustrious Dr. Seuss: “Oh, the places we’ll go!” This year promises to be a wonderful adventure! Please know that if you should have any questions, the preschool office door is always open, and your child’s teachers will be more than happy to provide you with any information that you may need. We are looking forward to a year of discovery, friendships, and “teachable moments”. J
OUR PRESCHOOL “LUNCH BUNCH” PROGRAM will begin the week of Sept. 20th. Lunch Bunch meets from 12:30-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday. Lunch Bunch Registration forms will be sent home in your child’s tote bag. The “pre-registered” cost per day is just $13.00, and the “drop-in” rate (on a space available basis) is $18.00. All children enrolled in the Lunch Bunch program must be toilet-trained. Please note: We may not have a PMAT trained staff on duty during each Lunch Bunch day-- parents of children who have been prescribed an Epi-Pen are advised to meet with Mickie before registering their child for the Lunch Bunch program. Space is limited, so get your registration forms in as soon as possible!
CHAPEL T-SHIRTS ORDERS are due on or before Tuesday, Sept. 14th. Orders are made once per year, so don’t miss out! We encourage our students to wear their t-shirt on the assigned class chapel day.
PONY PORTRAITS AND PONY RIDES will be held on Sept. 22nd and 23rd. (Please check your child’s class calendar for the specific date.) Feel free to dress your child in harvest colors/ Western gear—these photos make wonderful Christmas gifts for relatives…and the pony ride is a lot of fun! Please note: all children MUST have a signed permission form on file with the preschool office prior to their portrait/ pony ride. Thank you!
HOORAY FOR VOLUNTEERS! Please return your parent volunteer form to preschool in your child’s tote bag, or drop it by the preschool office. Events such as our annual “Wheel-A-Thon”, morning car line, and our two Wednesday Night Dinners require the talent and energy of all of the members of our preschool parent community. It is a great way to meet other parents, and provide a valuable service to your child’s preschool. Thank you in advance for your time---we are looking forward to working with you. J
OUR PRESCHOOL WEDNESDAY NIGHT “HARVEST DINNER” WILL BE HELD ON OCT. 27TH ! BRING YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS! The cost is just $3.00/child, and $5.00/adult. Reservation forms will be sent home during the week of Oct. 11th. Proceeds from the dinner are used as a fundraiser dedicated to playground repair/upkeep, and our preschool partial scholarship fund for families in need of assistance. It truly is a wonderful way to meet other parents and preschool staff members…and enjoy a mid-week dinner break!
TUITION PAYMENTS/LUNCH BUNCH PAYMENTS should be made out to “Mt. Pisgah Preschool”. Payments should be made by check, if at all possible. Payments may be mailed, placed in the silver and black “preschool drop box” affixed to the wall next to the preschool office door, or sent in a marked envelope in your child’s tote bag folder. THE NEXT TUITION AND LUNCH BUNCH PRE-REGISTERED TUITION IS DUE ON OR BEFORE OCT. 1ST. Thereafter, payments will be due on the first of each month, ending with May 1st, 2011. Please make out a separate check for Lunch Bunch tuition, if your child is pre-registered for that program.

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL OF 2010 IS UNDERWAY!
--“In house” registration for children of Mt. Pisgah UMC members, currently enrolled students, and siblings of currently enrolled students/ siblings of alumnae will be held January 4th-15th.
--Our “Open registration” date for prospective students not currently affiliated with Mt. Pisgah Preschool will be held on TUESDAY, JANUARY 19TH AT 10:00AM in the Christian Family Life Center building (adjacent to the preschool building).
Monthly tuition rates for the 2010-11 preschool year are listed below:
$130.00 Two Day 2 ½ yr. Old Monday and Wednesday
$130.00 Two Day 2 ½ yr. Old Tuesday and Thursday
$140.00 Two Day 3 yr. Old Tuesday and Thursday
$170.00 Three Day 3’s MWF
$170.00 Three Day 3’s TThF
$195.00 4 Day Pre-kindergarten Monday-Thursday
$220.00 5 Day Pre-kindergarten Monday-Friday
Our preschool also offers an after-care “Lunch Bunch” program until 3:30pm, Monday-Thursday. The cost for the program is $13/ day (pre-registered), or $18/day (drop-in).
A $45.00 Activity Fee for 2 ½ and 3 year-old classes and a $50.00 activity fee for pre-kindergarten classes which is used for on-site field experiences, such as puppeteers, storytellers, holiday activities, and the pre-k. “End of the Year Program”, will be due with the first tuition payment on June 1, 2010. There is also a registration fee of $90.00 payable by cash or check.
