MOPS at Mt. Pisgah Minimize

MOPS at Mt. Pisgah

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) groups are gatherings of moms coming together for community, conversation, and friendship. They meet to support each other, share experiences, and learn from presenters in the field of early childhood. MOPS at Mt. Pisgah invites and supports young families in our community. MOPS at Mt. Pisgah meets on second and fourth Tuesdays from 10 am to noon.

Our kickoff meeting for 2018-2019 will be on Tuesday, September 25 at 10 am!

Opportunities to Support MOPS:
MOPS is about loving women along the journey of motherhood. It’s about offering support and encouragement and hospitality. It’s about sharing your story and your love of Jesus. MOPS is a community that needs you! In order for our MOPS ministry to function best we have two specific areas of need and we need many people to help us meet these needs. We encourage you to prayerfully consider how you can be a part of this special community! Perhaps you feel called to help with childcare during MOPS meetings because you love little ones or you remember how precious a little “me time” was when you had little ones of your own. Or perhaps you are led to serve on the hospitality team helping our moms feel welcomed and allowing them to fellowship over food.

  • Childcare providers will serve in pairs, caring for children ranging from birth through preK. Children will be grouped by age. Age appropriate activities and materials will be provided for those caring for children older than age 2. We would like to have a consistent team of volunteers; it helps the moms and the kids to recognize and begin to develop relationships with those caring for the children. So can you commit to 1 or 2 Tuesday mornings each month, starting in late September? MEN can help with childcare too!! All childcare providers will need to complete a background check.
  • Those on the hospitality team will greet moms as they arrive for the meeting and provide light refreshments. We are hoping to create a hospitality team that can rotate weeks.
